Our Hampers - As we use mainly small producers
and suppliers there may be times when an item is not available.
If this is the case an item of an equal or higher value will be
used instead. The substituted item will always be appropriate to
the hamper selected.
Delivery Information
Our hamper and 'Other Goodies' prices include the delivery charge
and can be delivered to anywhere in the UK mainland. Items other
than hampers ('Other Goodies') are sent out by 2nd class Royal Mail
on the day of ordering providing it is a 'working day'* and before
2pm. Otherwise they are sent out the following day 2nd class Royal
Mail (providing it is a 'working day'*). Our standard delivery for
hampers is within 2 working days (if the order is received before
2pm). Hamper orders received after 2pm on Friday will not be processed
until the following Monday (unless a bank holiday). All hamper deliveries
require a signature to secure their delivery otherwise a card will
be left by the delivery company. Please ensure we know if there
are any special circumstances such as entryphone or no letterbox.
(*a working day is Monday to Friday but not including public holidays)
As we use a third party for deliveries we cannot be held responsible for late deliveries due to postal strikes, transport strikes and incidents such as flood, drought, civil commotion, legislation.
During the summer months we may speed up delivery times when necessary to avoid any possible heat damage to our hampers. We also reserve the right to delay hamper orders for the same purpose. You will be informed using your given contact details should this be the case.
Delivery will usually occur between 8:00am and 6:00 pm Monday to Friday. If it is not possible to accept and sign for the delivery at the address given your delivery will be taken to your local sorting office to await your collection. Your local sorting office will hold deliveries for 4-5 working days, after this period they will return any uncollected deliveries to Gorgeous Hampers. For this reason we advise that if sending as a gift the recipient is made aware of this to avoid any returned deliveries to us. Most customers find it useful to have their order delivered to the recipient’s work address. Should an item be returned because of a failed collection we cannot be held responsible. No refund is possible due to the unknown holding conditions & temperatures that may possibly affect the quality of the hamper.
Delivery to Hospitals, Maternity Wards, Nursing Homes, Government Buildings, Military Bases, Company Buildings etc, will be made to the reception area. Please note it is the sender's responsibility to check that the person will be at the said premises to receive the basket, Gorgeous Hampers will take no responsibility if this has not been done. All orders must be signed for. Responsibility for the hamper once signed and accepted is with the relevant authority.
We regret that we are unable to accept orders for delivery to an address containing a PO Box number, or from persons placing an order whose own address contains a PO Box number.
Peak Times
For peak delivery periods such as Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s day, etc, please order at least one week in advance to ensure timely delivery.
